The founder of BYE ENTERTAINMENT FOUNDATION, Ray Gibb has worked for the past several years with Indie Fest USA Entertainment Group, and for the last three years as the Event Development VP for this great Independent International Film Festival. Ray has always felt that his life should be dedicated to assisting others, and has found that in his capacity with Indie Fest USA he has been able to do this.

As the 2009 Festival concluded, he decided that there is more to offer, so while he is still dedicated to Indie Fest USA and the great filmmakers and artists that they support, Ray felt that he needed to go one step further and with Rich Stuart started setting up BYEEF, which they registered with the state of California, as a not-for-profit Public Benefit Foundation on February 1, 2010.

BYE Entertainment is a California not-for-profit Public Benefit Foundation. 501(c)(3) status is pending.

The Team

Ray L. Gibb, President & CEO

In 1966 Ray was adopted by Lawrence D. Gibb MD and Saundra S Gibb. Ray was the second oldest of 11 siblings. The first few years after joining the Gibb family, they lived in Holiday, Utah and then moved to the upper avenues in Salt Lake City, (Dr. Gibb was finishing up his medical training at Primary Children’s and University of Utah Hospital). Ray began his schooling while living on the upper Avenues. After Dr. Gibb completed his training and went into private practice the family moved to Bountiful, Utah. In 1976 the family moved up Emigration Canyon (into Mrs. Gibb’s family summer home) where he attended Skyline High School. In the summer between his Junior and Senior years in high school the family moved back to Bountiful, where he completed high school at Bountiful High.

In August 1979, Ray found himself at Fort Dix, New Jersey where he completed Boot Camp for the US Army, he then went to San Antonio, Texas (Fort Sam Houston) where he did his Advanced Training as a medical corpsman, and he completed his training at Fort Carson, Colorado where he did his Hospital / TMC training. After his military career, Ray went to Washington, DC where he attended the Culinary School of Washington. He then went back to Salt Lake where he then decided once again to change his course in life, and got his certification as a Para Legal at Mountainwest College of Business and Technology.

In the late 80’s he went back to Restaurant work, where he met Gay and Kody Morgan. Kody was a bassist for a local Country Rock band and Ray began to follow the band and would help them out. Kody left this band and became the Bassist for a new band called “Steel Rail” Ray followed along and became a Roadie for the band, as time went on he became their Road & Stage Manager. Ray stayed with the band through 1992 until he realized that the members of the band did not have the ambition to move beyond a club band. In August, 1992 he relocated to Las Vegas, NV where he joined up with a friend from Skyline High School to design family style resorts.

In 2004 the whole group moved to Southern California to work in the Film Industry. In 2005 he assisted Don and friends in putting on a film festival in Hollywood, CA. In 2007 Ray joined forces full time with the group as the organized Indie Fest USA and annual film festival held in Downtown Disney©, Anaheim. In 2009 Ray felt that he was not reaching his full potential, so as 2009 wrapped up he founded BBIG YARE ENTERPRISES, LLC, and the not-for-profit division BYE Entertainment Foundation.

Egan Kolb – Sales & Marketing

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, I maintain a diverse and well-rounded outlook on people, situations, and life. My mother is a prolific, multi-media artist, graduating from the Art Institute of Chicago. My father is a successful Project Manager specializing in city planning. Both of them nurtured me into a logical, creative, inspiring young man that yearns to bring out the best in others. I don't know how to thank them enough.During my junior year of high school, everyone completed "career interest tests". These surveys are designed to uncover what each student truly wants to do in college, and eventually in life. My results always came back with musical/creative influences. Surprise, surprise! Honestly, I did not need these tests to tell me what I am interested in...I already knew. When all of my other friends were looking into staying local and attending the University of Texas, I personally felt like moving away from home and getting a fresh perspective on life.

After finding Ex'pression College for Digital Arts under a google search for "music production schools", I knew that audio was my calling. The curriculum blends my passion for creating awesome sounding projects, with practical tech-knowledge and legitimate career paths. While there, I was a peer mentor for new students, a teacher's assistant, and a drop-in tutor for general education and Sound Arts courses. Upon graduating, I became part of the Ex'pression Honor Society for maintaining a GPA of 3.75. The best memory I have was playing with Bullets Can't Kill Danny in the battle of the bands competition (we came in third place out of ten).

Moving to the Bay Area from Austin, TX was easily the best decision I have ever made in my life. I am more aware of my effect on others, their effect on me, and on track for a successful career in audio engineering. Still, my fundamentals haven't changed a whole lot: I love to make people smile, laugh, and learn...hopefully all at once!Egan Kolb is a recent graduate of Ex'pression College for Digital Arts, a well known, all-in-one, training ground for digital arts professionals. After receiving his bachelor's degree in Sound Arts, Egan has been keeping busy with post production and commercial production free-lancing work.

Besides post production, Egan stays busy with music creation, digital photography, and travel. Meeting and greeting new people is the only way to stay diverse and cultured in this globalized world.
